Hi,

I am looking for a tactical knife for my personal collection.
It needs:
- a good stainless steel fixed blade with a black coating
- a steel cross guard
- a full tang
- a black handle
- especially built for combat purpose ( i already own a survival knife)
- 200$ maximum

About the blade profile, i have no preferences
Lenght not too short, not too long (i don't need a sword)

I did some research and I was thinking about the SOG Tech Bowie but i saw on a youtube review that the handle wobble. Too sad, it was the perfect knife for me.
The SOG Trident 2.0 is also cool but it's uncoated (i don't think it would be pretty on this knife)
The Cold Steel Leatherneck has a cheap stainless steel (4116)
A lot of knivesdo not have steel cross guard

My ideal tactical knife would be the original Ka BAR with a VG10 steel, but KA BAR only make carbon steel knives...

Wow this spyderco is such a beast. Unfortunately it cost 350€ (400US$) in my country...

You should be able to buy a Spydie Warrior off the exchange here at BF for a reasonable price. Ofcourse, the seller would have to ship international.

If you can find it for cheaper get the CRKT FE7 or FE9. Coolest production combat knife i've seen. They are pricey though but I think it's exactly what you're looking for.

If you really like the old style Kabar blade, have you considered the Kabar Next Generation? It has an old style Kabar blade but in stainless steel, and a black kraton handle (it's not a completely black knife though). Although they are no longer in production, I just saw a vendor on Amazon with three in stock selling them for $119 each. I imagine that there are more available out there.

I saw this original thread.

What about getting the Buck 119 and giving it a couple coats of flat black spray paint? Or maybe duracoat?

Do you have the original thread Charlie_K?
I don t want to spray coat myself. It would not have a good looking
