Hello, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a traditional Case slipjoint to carry everyday. I have been considering a Case Medium Stockman with CV blades and a Case Small Texas Jack.

It's mostly a matter of personal preference. Which is the prettiest, which has the desired blade shapes and number of blades, which is available in the 'best' handle material, and/or how much bulk you're willing to tolerate in your pocket.

My favorite stockman from Case is the Medium Stockman with the rounded bolsters. In the CV steel it's available in several different handle choices.

The peanut is a popular pattern around here, and it just happens to be available in CV steel and chestnut bone.

The Case Medium stockman is a fine knife. The stockman pattern is one of my favorites.

Both good choices, but the stockman has that oh so useful sheepfoot blade, which the Texas jack does not. I'd reconsider the stockman.

I often have my SBJ, stag and damascus, or CV and chestnut bone in my pocket. Outstanding design and execution.

I had a case medium stockman for a long time -- with the clip, pen, and sheepsfoot blades and squared-off bolsters. Absolutely loved it, and having handled a texas jack, I do prefer the stockman. So +1 on that.

I've never handled the SBJ, but I'm quite keen on it.

You really can't go wrong with any of the suggestions given but the Texas jack & sway back jack are a couple of my favorites.

I would put my vote on the medium stockman as well. Standing the test of time, this pattern has proven itself for generations. The three blade shapes provide plenty of utility value and the knife is small enough to make a great EDC.

The new Bose/Case Teardrop seems to be popular and I have heard nothing but good reviews on them from everyone in this forum.

The two you picked sound perfect. I'd begin with those :)
