I've been looking for a traditional folder for some time and think i've narrowed down the specs but cant seem to find anything that fits the bill

I'd like

carbon steel
stag scales
two full size blades with an OAL of 3"
1 clip point the other spear

can anyone think of anything that fits the bill

I have seen pics of a nothwoods scagel but i assume these are not within my reach?

It's the size that's the major problem, at 3" closed it's small as the blade configuration corresponds to a Moose pattern, a bigger knife.

Closest I can think of is a GEC 66 frame with the Bullwinkle set-up. About 3.5" closed though.

Maybe there is something in at Carl Schliepers, Solingen in stock. They have very nice stag handles. I just have the german-shop site at hand (when you want I can send it to you at pm). But in the US they are also sold.

Kind regards
Andi

Do you mean 3" blades, or 3" closed length? Size of traditional knives is measured by closed length. If you mean 3" blades, a GEC #54 moose (4.25 closed) would fit your bill perfectly. There's also a #66 moose that's 3.5" closed. Both have carbon steel blades and are (were) available in stag (if you can still find one).

3" blades but OAL not cuting edge - to protect me from my countries represive laws

I like the look of the #73 so something like it but a bit smaller?

GEC Big Jack then, pattern 54 I think. Check the Great Eastern Cutlery site with the links to dealers who display good photos of stock, this will help you a lot. I bid you welcome to the forum, many countries are represented.
