I'm trying to source a supplier for blade blanks cut to my specifications. Ideally they will be able to supply and cut M390 and CPM3V, the more common stuff (1095, D2 etc.) is easy enough to source but I've had no luck with these two premium steels. The only quote I could get back was from china for M390 and the price was way too inflated (~$350 a piece).
I'm in Australia, there is no sources here. I've tried leading edge fabrication from this forum but they wont deal with international customers, even after I gave a US shipping address I got the cold shoulder. I'm waiting to hear back from "Waterjet knives" but I'm not holding my breath, it's not a steel they stock. Is there any European companies that could take on this job?
