So, I am aware that the "best angle" will change depending on blade geometry, thickness, blade material, heat treat, and of course intended use.
So with that in mind I have in my possession a Benchmade Infidel 3010 (non-dagger style). Way overpriced, but I love double action OTF, S30V, and this knife just looked good to me. Anyways, picture below:

Material:
S30V (58-60 HRC)
Dimensions:
3.95" blade length
0.118" blade thickness
Purpose:
Every day carry- Opening letters, packages, food items, strapping, impressing friends with an overpriced knife whose blade appears in an instant, pops hair and cuts air, then disappears just as quickly (ninja knife).
For the regrind I will be using an Edge Pro Apex with stones up to 1000 grit and 2000/6000 grit tapes to polish. (Any other advice such as stropping and getting the knife air-splitting sharp?)
So, without experimenting too much on my new toy...do you think this blade could handle a 15 degree angle? Stick with 20 degrees? Any feedback would be appreciated from you fine folks.
