Hey All,

Attached is my first crack at file work and I need some advise from you folks. My original intention was to put some jimping on the blade so when I am using the choil I've got a thumb rest.

I am however concerned that jimping will spoil the flow of the file work. I'm also not particularly a fan of file work on the blade itself, so that's why I need your advise. Do I leave the blade naked? Jimp it? Extend the file work pattern as is? Extend a modified version of the file work? HELP!!

thanks in advance!
Craig

Jimping would have extended to my thumb position in this picture:

in my most humble opinion, leave the blade free of the jimping.

very nice filework.

I agree... leave it as is. IMO horizontal lines will ruin the flow of the filework.

Nice job btw.

I think it would look just fine. Leave a space between the lines and the filework.
