Though I know I am off topic here, I thought you guys might be able to help me out with this one.

Despite her avid refusal to carry a knife, my girlfriend has finally decided that a multi-tool in her purse would come in handy.. now I am trying to find her one, but allas, that appears easier said than done.

The main problem is that she insists it must have a corkscrew (go figure..), however, Leatherman's Flair has copper accents, which she hates and the Juice series' collors are to happy (no, she isn't picky:mad: ). Futhermore, the Swisstool apparently has a corkscrew available, but only as a loose part. Normal Swiss army knives lack decent pliers, etc.. I remember why I gave up shopping together a long time ago:D..

Perhaps any of you have a sugestions? Any advice appriciated.

Thanks, Christiaan.

The retractable system on the Gerber 400 and 600's are nice. I've used one for years, and it's worked well. I broke the plier head once putting it through really tough use, and Gerber sent me a new one, no questions asked.

Leatherman Waves are supposed to be pretty nice too, cause you can use the tools w/o having to deploy the pliers.

SOG makes the 'powerplier,' which is sort of a butterfly-knife style tool. But when you muscle down with it, the grip bite your hands a bit.

And this is assuming she can deal without a corkscrew. You have a strider, right? When you need a bottle opened, just use it to break the top off. :)

Picky is not the word I would use, but hey we're all friends here right.... So as far as a cork-screw goes she may have to settle for one of the happy ones as I dont know of any seriuos ones that offer a C-S as a feature...But like midget said why bother with a C-S when you have a Strider...That is presuming she plans on drinking the wine with you...Good Luck
