Looking for advice on sharpening RC-3

Just got my RC-3.

It's a great little knife for EDC. I use my fixed blades mainly for food prep and light cutting tasks. I also carry a fully serrated Spyderco Endura for other more difficult cutting tasks.

So far I'm really impressed with the RC-3. Mine is the desert tan plain edged version and the sheath rides on my strong side inside my waist band. The boot clip is a little hard to install on a Wilderness Instructor belt with the sheath inside my pants, but will fit.

So my questions:

Using the Spyderco Sharpmaker what angle should I use to sharpen the blade?

Any hints for a quick touch up between sharpening?

Thanks for your support.

20 degree angle. I just touch up with a ceramic stone in between uses.

As Jeff said 20 degree/side. I have a spyderco sharpmaker and a few passes with the fine ceramic stones in the 40 degree slots sharpens it right up.

No RC-3, but I have a RAT-3 and IZULA (pre-convex) I sharpen on the sharpmaker, 20 degrees each side.

Sharpen the serrations just like you would sharpen the plain edge. No need to try and sharpen the belly of the serrations. Just allow your flat hone to go all the way back over the serrations when you sharpen the plain edge and it will sharpen the points of the serrations (the part that does the cutting anyway). If you have noticed, our serrations have flats of plain edge in between each serration.
