Hey folks, I need some help. I lost my EDC a few weeks ago and am in search of a direct replacement. I had an 806D2 combo edge knife and am looking for another just like it. Anyone have one for sale?

Thanks

The fact you want a combo edge helps ( they are usually less popular) but you didn't do yourself any favors by losing an 806. It's one of the most popular discontinued knives out there. Be prepared to pay upwards of $200 regardless of where you find it.

I've never seen one in the Exchange here at BF, so eBay may be your only source. Good luck!

They show up from time to time on the exchange here (3 in the last year), as well over on the Benchmade Forum. You might want to post in the “want to buy section” who knows you might get lucky.

There's a new version of the 806 that has been released that is constructed from M4 steel. It's going for $225.00 manufacturer suggested retail. Plus it's a limited release. Will try the looking to buy as suggested.

Thanks

I caved in and bought an 805S TSEK to hold me over until I find another 806 D2 combo edge. The handle is the same as the 806 but the blade is 440. The dealer had it in a case unused for $110.00 with 20% off. Still looking for the 806D2 if anyone finds one.

Thanks

Here's how luck goes folks.......

I bought the 805 S TSEK and accepted the fact that I would carry it until I found someone or someplace to sell me the discontinued 806 D2 AFCK combo edge that I lost. A few hours after I bought the knife I went to my youngest child's school for a presentation to gather new scouts for the pack I manage and while setting up a little fake campsite in the school library, I unfold my camp chair and low and behold.... my 806 D2 AFCK reappeared.

I had that chair out while my oldest was canoeing for a boy scout merit badge and when I had gotten up out of the seat I apparently caught the clip and the knife slipped out of my back pocket and stayed attached to the camp chair. It had been riding a few feet behind me in the truck the whole time.

The only thing that worries me is I told a friend that turned me on to the Benchmade and Spyderco brand names that I wanted another 806. I hope he doesn't find one before I can get in touch with him and cancel the request. I might just let it ride and get another one anyway for the next misplacing session. Middle age sucks folks!

Thanks.

Hey, let me know if you want to get rid of that 805, I will give it a good home :)

I polished the 806 D2 blade and resharpened it this morning and slipped it inside my glovebox so I will have a backup in the event I get stupid again. I'm going to give the 805 S a ride for a while and see how it fits my EDC needs. I've favored the Benchmade brand for quite a few years.

Thanks
