I want to replace the plastic toothpick in my Vic Huntman and Climber knives with something more useful, perhaps a small jeweller's file could be made to fit, or glue fine grit sandpaper to the toothpick or its replacement. I knew an old rancher in Arizona years ago who said he kept a spare horseshoe nail filed down to fit, but I never actually saw it for myself. I've also heard of a construction nail filed down and sharpened into a mini-blade. A sailmaker's needle? A piece of hacksaw blade? A handcuff key? A lock pick? Come on, let's have some ideas . . .

Never really though about. I guess I am the gross guy that actually uses the toothpick on a regular basis.

Me too, but when I think about it, I'll wipe the toothpick down with one of those anti-germ wipes that some markets have at their doors. Sometimes, when I'm at the table, I just dip it in my drink before use. This is strictly if I'm alone or with wife only. She has seen me at my worst and hasn't flinched yet.

I just saw someone modded the toothpick in EDCF, thin out the middle part of the toothpick, and put threads around it. I thought it was a pretty good idea.

I also remembered seeing people filed down a ferro rod to a toothpick shape, and store it there.

Micro screwdriver for glasses? I use that tool a lot from my wave, mostly to release wires from electrical outlets/switches. That could be useful to me on a SAK.
