I emailed the shop a few times with no luck so I'm going to ask here.

My question is are the available knives online will have the same thin and even grinds like the ratweiler and chophouses that came out from "operation two weeks" ? I know in the past Busse and kin tens to have an "axe" grind and recently it's been slightly thinner which I prefer.

I'm looking into getting a Ratmandu or Rodent 9.

I don't have the answer for you, but noticed the same thing on the recent ratweilers. They were ground nice and even, with a good bit thinner finished edge. I hope this is the new trend, these blades are plenty stout enough to take it.

I hope i get answers from the mods.

When I ordered my Ratmandu I just asked for a thinner grind. Trissy didn't indicate any issues and said she would mark my order. This was after the custom shop closed and still wasn't an issue. When my RMD came in it was ground quite a bit leaner than the LE I got off the exchange.

So I can't give you an official answer, but that worked for me. Maybe they have heard the feedback and are going a bit thinner in general but I don't really know. For my uses, it's hard to see needing much more than 0.025" thickness behind the edge at ~15-20 dps, even on a large chopper. (This happens to be the approx geometry my 1311 came with, and I've used it pretty hard with no issues. No idea if this is typical for them or I just happened to get a thinner one.)
