I have a crappy $20 cd player that I keep in my office, and the antenna broke months ago. I've lived with it, but the reception has gotten so bad, that I am now looking for an antenna. This wouldn't be so much of a problem, except that the brand is Lenoxx Sound, and I can't find a website for the company, and I have long since tossed the box and the instructions. I know that just buying a new stereo would be a lot easier, I will do that if I can't find an antenna.

I am also looking for a AC power cord for an Emerson stereo, I took it on vacation, and lost the cord. I've been searcbing the web to contact them, no luck.

I've asked around at Radio Shack and the normally take any sale that comes their way :D associates had no idea what I was talking about. Thanks for the help.

Is it UL-listed?

If so, there are some little numbers below the UL logo on the unit usually near the power cord entrance. You can take those numbers and go to UL's website and get the manufacturer's name and address.

But, my guess is that they're gonna charge you more for replacement parts than a whole new unit would cost. Welcome to the throw-away society.

Power cords have to have UL approval too. And the cost of getting that approval is so high that most manufacturers just use a standard part that's already approved. I'd be floored if your Emerson unit is using a non-standard power cord. Radio Shack should have the replacement.

Got an email from Lenoxx, gonna send off $5 for a new antenna. Guy said all you gotta do is remove a screw, take out the old antenna, put the new one in, put the screw back in and I'm done.

Hams say this about Radio Shack we have our questions ,they have their blank stares !!! And what they do sell is usually junk !
