Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster.
Ive been looking for a new daily carry pocket knife, and man, you can spend a lot of time looking and not finding what you're looking for!

What im carrying now is a standard stainless (440), 3" recurve blade, 7 3/4" overall and just shy of 1.5" "deep" when folded (4.5"x1.5"x0.5").

In the last few years ive been buying some damascus, o1 and other high carbon blades (for non edc knives) and find these to be so far superior to any stainless that ive ever had.

So what im looking for is a high carbon blade, o1 or something similar (i have no experience with D2, but it sounds good to me), Pocket clip is mandatory, thumb studs preferred (i hate the looks of spyderco's and other blades with the hole), slimmer and narrower than what i have now (i hate how it scrapes my hand when i reach in for cash), im not very excited about an assisted knife (i dont like how hard they are to close, and want something that is easy to fully operate with one hand). Hmm... what else, oh, scales Since id like it to be light, either titanium, g10 or micarta are on the tops of my list. Oh and budget... under 200$ is preferred, but not mandatory.

This would be used mostly for opening boxes, slicing an apple, picking the gunk out from under my nails... but i also would carry it when hunting for the smaller piercing jobs (think bung holing a deer) lol.

So, I look forward to suggestions!

Thanks!
Erik
