...And since you guys were so ab-so-FREAKING-lutely bang-on when I was looking for Marilyn Martin's "Night Moves" video, I figured I'd see whether or not this request would stump ya's!!
I'm looking for a video that I *THINK* was done fairly recently (i.e., in the last five years). I have no idea of the song, or of the band, but the gist of the video is that a man gambles with, or cheats, Death to save his wife's life on several occasions. They cut cards for high card, and it's hard to tell if he's just fiendishly lucky or cheating. Once they do this when she's lying in bed, ill, once when she's in some sort of danger, etc.. You get the picture. Anyway, the final shot of the video has the man getting into a black sedan with Death, as if in payment for his wife's life. As they drive away together, he turns from looking out the back window, and offers the cards to Death, one last time.
I could've sworn the video was for Procol Harum's (or a recent remake of) "Whiter Shade of Pale," but looking out on the internet has netted me (pardon the pun) zilch.
So, you Mavens of the Video Vaults...any thoughts on what the video was, the band, or anything else? I know I didn't hallucinate seeing this video, my wife also watched it with me (it's kind of romantic, in a way, what with the man being willing to risk his own life to gamble for his wife's and all...
), but she can't remember who it was, either. D'OH!!
