Looking for another small knife

The knives that I'm considering at this time are the Northwoods Peanut and the GEC 06 Pemberton. For those of you who might own both - do you have a preference?

I own a few Case Peanuts - like them. I also have a Baby Butterbean that doesn't get as much pocket time.

I'm open to other suggestions as well.

Thanks.

I picked up a peanut recently and really like it but my personal favorite as my secondary everyday carry knife is the swayback jack. Fits great in the watch pocket and and fulfills all my smaller knife needs perfectly. Not sure about the pemberton.

Is this the Case Swayback Jack - or another company. Thanks!

Andy,
I don't own a Northwoods Peanut but do own 4 Case peanuts, a Pemberton, and a Case Swayback Gent.
I'd go with the single blade Pemberton if you want a clip blade.
The SBG has one Wharncliffe blade. If you're not opposed to a Wharncliffe, I'd go with the SBG before the Pemberton. It's a bit longer (just about the same thickness) but will carry just like the Pemberton.

I happen to have a comparison pic of a Pemberton and Peanut. I sold that Pemberton to a forum member. I now own one that wears Black Olive Jigged Bone.

Oh.....forgot to mention about steel.....The Pemberton is 1095 , the Case Sway Back Gent is stainless, The Case Sway Back Jack (2 blades) is CV, Northwoods Peanut is D2 (I think Queen made these for KSF).

Peanut vs. Pemberton

I just ordered a two-blade Pemberton. Seems like just the right knife for me. Thanks for the input all.

It's not so small 3.25", but my vote goes to the GEC Conductor. You get a LOT of blade in a compact frame, the Peanut has no chance with this one as far as I'm concerned.

I think going with the two-blade Pemberton was a good choice. I personally do not carry one, but that is what my grandfather carried for years.

Quality, heritage, history and smallness. All at a fraction of the cost. Still widely available on the second hand market.
cheers.

I have an Old Timer - arrived a week or so ago. Gave it a good cleaning. Very tight snap. Nice knife, but I just can't warm to it. I'm not a plastic cover guy I guess. I should like my Delrin CV Cases, but I don't.
