i did a bunch of searching for information about a Normark Hunters Skinning Axe that i bought years ago for hunting. It works very well for processing small game but i havent used it for skinning big game yet. It fits comfortably in my hand and is very light-weight to carry. I think that i paid about $20 or so for it back in the mid 90's
It says its stainless, i have assumed its just 440A but im not sure. it was made in Sweden, so do they do better heat treat to their stainless? Is it of any collectors value, if so, estimated worth?
Anybody else have one? have you used it? is it not recommended for use on wood (i mean even minor wood cutting)? also, i once saw it used as a Hollywood "combat axe" in the movie Deep Rising by one of the "Mercs"
Anything you can tell or share with me would be much apprciated, thank you.
