I'm looking for a leather aviator's jacket, the A2 style. I would like to find some sites that carry these. Does anyone here have a favorite site?

They make the best quality flight jackets that I've ever seen. I've had two of their G1's (nothing happened to the jackets, I out grew them) and they were great...in fact I have a jacket on order from them right now.

Those goat skin jackets are just what I'm looking for. Thanks alot guys. I've always wanted one, it will be my "reward" for accomplishing my goal of loosing 50#'s. Not quite there yet, but within striking distance. Thanks again.

If you ask me, Avirex has gone ghetto/urban just like Abercrombie & Fitch and Banana Republic. 20 years ago, I purchased a leather A2 from Banada Republic and it was a reasonable simulacrum of the real thing. Today, Avirex and Banana Republic cater to the urban youth.

I'd like to second the FlightSuits (or Gibson & Barnes as they are now being called) suggestion. Their jackets are absolutely first class. Much higher quality than USWings, IMO. Plus, their customer service is second to none. If you don't like the look of the jacket or it doesn't fit or whatever you have six months to return it for a full refund or exchange. I also suggest checking out their clearance section which has some fantastic deals on jackets. I visited their facility in August of '02 and bought an Expedition jacket in goat skin. Best damn jacket I have ever owned.

(Please note: I do not receive any compensation from FlightSuits. I am just a very happy customer.)

I'm gonna add to the FlightSuits votes. I've got more leather jackets than... well lots. The workmanship is impeccable and so is their customer service. You can customize them as well, all at reasonable costs. I would recommend them without hesitation. I have an Avirex O-Sized A2 in Lamb that hangs like a lead gunny sack. Yes, the quality of materials and workmanship is decent but... the fit is wacked. My FlightSuit jackets fit great and are built to last a lifetime...
