Looking For BK7 & BK9 Laser Etched + New Sheath

I have heard that the BK7 & BK9 has been upgraded with a great new sheath and also the new blades have a new coating and are laser etched.

I am looking for a dealer that has one of each.

I'm not sure but I think Tomars has the new coating on request but that's just what I've heard. I think its basically you get what you get until all the old stock is sold.
 
Thanks for the reply. I am probably more interested in the new sheath, but I figured it would come with the updated knife also. I have read some folks get the new knives with the old sheaths.

I will give them a call.

I just got a 9 down on the river a week ago. It had the old coating but a new sheath.
 
what does the new sheath look like because I got a 9 with the new coating today from scamazon

^^This is where I learned about the new sheaths.

I called Tomars and talked to them. The person I talked to went and looked at what they had and it looked like the sheaths were not the new ones, but they were the new knives. He said he would look into it after the New Year and find out about them & when they will get them. I'm in no hurry, I can wait until they start popping up.

I didn't read down far enough in that thread; looks like you can order the sheaths from KA-BAR.
