Hey everyone I’m looking for any bladesmiths in or near Ohio. I would like to start learning the trait and was hoping someone would be willing to be a mentor and teacher. I know it’s asking a lot but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.

Here is a link copied from the americanbladesmith.com site. If you want to learn and have the money, this is the way to go.
If you don't have the money, you can always look up the Ohio bladesmith and contact them individually and see if they will help.
Most bladesmiths/knife makers will share their knowledge with you, and may let you visit their shops ocassionally for a little handson instruction. Don't expect them to furnish you with access to their shops and equipment other than on an infrequent basis.
good luck!
