I just received my CS Safe Maker II and love this thing.

Now I need to pick up a really good boot strap for it.

Suggestions on high quality ones?

What do you mean by bootstrap? I thought it was the loop that helped pull the boot on.

am sure angelina jolie voight could spare one ;-)
try a diving store for silicone straps.

Hmm. That could be an option. We used to have a a bunch of dive shops here in cleveland, but not so many any more.

I'm surprised this isnt a little more common... a backup boot knife is something a lot of people wear.

There's got to be something out there made just for the task?

I've been looking for something similar as well - I may end up trying to make something out of nylon webbing

Hmm yeah maybe a nice piece of nylon webbing with a mini cobra buckle... that would be pretty bad ass.

I think I'm going to have a custom strap made with maybe 1" nylon webbing & a mini cobra buckle by Jones Tactical...

Similar to this dog collar, minus the silver D ring.

The dog collar isnt from JT, but that guy is great and can easily make me what I'm looking for with a mini cobra.

there was a reason i mentioned slicone...
and no, it wasn't specifically about angelina j.
it's simply because silicone doesn't absorb dirt, grime and perspiration;
and leave distinct nasty odours.
it is also waterproof and offers some nonslip grip.
also, if you care to note that non rubberized strapping offers no elasticity,
and so tends to slip downward without any upper rigging support.
but, no matter which material is chosen for the strap set up,
it should consist a mixture of plastic fastex buckles, spacers,
with the most important gripping component being velcro strips with (don't laugh now!) adjustable waistband elastic gaiters.

Yeah I see your point about dirt & grim, I suppose nylon would get dirty, but should be easy to clean shouldnt it?

And the boot sheath has a clip that clips onto the edge of the boot, so regardless of strap it shouldnt slip downward because of that.

Hmm. I just wish there were some options out there, doesnt seem to be many.

The 1" nylon strap with mini cobra was the only thing I could think of that I can have someone make for me.

I actually really like the idea of a nylon/mini cobra strap, but it getting really dirty is something that may make me reconsider it.

What kind of silicon straps would you suggest?
