I'm into the bigger thicker folders right now and unfortunately my budget is rather tight. I'm looking for big badass folders for under $100, can you guys help me out? Thanks for your time.

Bobby

Thanks for the ideas guys! I really like the rat 1 and spartan, the mantis is cool but I want something with a sharper tip. I think I will go with the rat. I'd you have more ideas, let me know!

Thanks,
Bobby

ZT 0350 blem, can't go wrong but I see you want a sharper tip. How about a Kershaw Blur or maybe a Spyderco Tenacious

For the money, the recon 1 is pretty beefy and slices well... love the lock-up, the weight, and the general sturdiness of the knife; I edc the mini version/ 3 inch blade (due to local laws), which is as thick as the full sized one. While there are better folders out there, for the money it is a good buy...

Big beefy Ti frame lock for about 60-70 bucks check out the HK (made by Benchmade) Conspiracy.

A few others that come to mind are Boker S2 and the Ontario Utillatac2

i think timberwolf has the design now, but its in AUS8 where this is made from 440C

CRKT Crawford / Kasper is nice and inexpensive. Pros. AUS 6 steel easy to sharpen, very smooth, tight lockup no wobble at all.
Cons. Right hand only tip down. AUS 6 dulls fairly easy.

zt 0200 blem. pointy and a straight up BEAST.

The 0200 is quite the beast... Kershawguy still has the blem 0200ST (combo edge) of these for under $100. A blem 0350 also runs around the same. The tiger striped 0350 looks quite nice. The 0200 is much larger than the 0350.

Left to right: 0200, 0301, 0350, 0560, 0550

The Kershaw JYDII is also a nice beefy knife. It isn't quite as thick as the 0200, but it is similar in blade and overall length.

Top to bottom: 0200, JYDII, 0350, Blur

The RAT-1 is a good and relatively inexpensive knife. It is closer in size to the 0350 and Blur pictured above. If you're open to the Chinese brands, the Enlan EL-01 can be had for about $15-20, and it is a pretty beefy knife.
