looking for CLOSEUP photos of LOTR elvish blades

Now I realize this is something of a stretch, but I realized if ANYONE knew where to find this stuff, you guys might.

I'm prolly going to be acquiring a 1911 in the near future, and wanted to carve up a set of custom grips for it. Maybe add some wire inlay as well. I've not settled yet on the design (obviously) but I think I want to draw some from 18th century "Golden Age" longrifles and some from those beautiful leaf inlays and the like we saw in LOTR elvish bows and swords... basically, I'm looking for closeup photos of the props to use as inspiration.

Now I've got plenty of pictures of the longrifle stuff, but I've not a clue where to go to get a good look at the elvish stuff. Any ideas? (preferably online?)

Thanks!

Posted the wrong pic. The link is still the real money shot, though.

Thank you!

That image is perfect! I have yet to find another as good on the site you linked to, but I'll keep looking. I also recall seeing a fan-magazine or book somewhere recently that had wonderful photospreads of those blades.. I'll have to get out and look again.

Hrm.. interesting blade though. No guard, looks like a pretty slick grip and not much of a pommel.. are there real-world swords like that out there, and how do they work? Seems like it'd be easy to lose once you got it all slippery with orc blood or whatnot...

Real purty though...

Thanks again!
