Hey Guys,

Being from the Midwest I don't have issues with moisture, even though we are buried under almost 3 FEET of snow right now!

I was wondering if you guys in the more humid areas could recommend a good anit-rust/corrosion treatment? About all I've tried in the past is a Tuff-Cloth, wich does work well (enough) for me, but was wondering if there are any products that you've tried that work better?

Also, this doesn't have to be just a wipe on/spray on type of treatment. If there is an application process to a product that works great, I would love to hear about those as well.

Thanks!

Soak any clean cloth in mineral oil all I've ever used blades been in sea water the lot clean em and give a coating of mineral oil

Goes back to when I started my shipbuilding apprenticeship we used to weld mild steel which could literally rust up in an hour especially after bring heated to high temperatures so when I left my work overnight I gave it a light coat of mineral oil and when came back in had saved quite a bit of work to remove pitting

It's dirt cheap, non toxic so safe for knives you may prep food with (wipe it off first) and a small bottle such as 3 in 1 will be enough for a year or so worth of oily cloths
I live in north east England so weather is pretty wet here and near the North Sea so salty air aswell

Cheers

Chris

If you can find it, Amzoil MP is pretty good stuff - around $6.50 a can.
