 I am looking to add a nice costum folder to my collection. Although I am new to the custom collecting I have collected Pennsylvania related pocket knives for 30 + years. I would like something that is like the early 1900's sytle with bone handles, file work and dressed with a emblem. Can anyone point me to a maker that does this. Something traditional. I know, I bet most of you are saying BORING. I just like the old look and woudl like a custom to have in my collection. Thanks for looking

So you are looking for an old pattern custom but you don't mention what style? Slipjoint, lockback, linerlock? What pattern? Sunfish, barlow, dogleg? What materials? Damascus, stainless, high carbon? Please try to be alittle more specific? How about a folding bowie like this?

Here's another example. Jigged bone scales, copper bolsters and simple twist damascus blade.

You're probationary now (Guild), Chuck?!? Cool....

I'm impressed.

Well I guess I deserved that. I am looking for something that looks old, like a barndoor hinge or elephant toe with a honey bone handle. The knife you gave photo's of is beautiful. I love the file work. If it was just based on a older style I would have loved it. I am looking for traditional. If it looks like an anitque Platts Bros and has file work on it, I am sold. Hope this helps someone to find me a keeper.

I think you should get the Winkler friction folder over at the for sale forums. Good price too.
