Does anybody have pics or can anyone point me to a website for Virgil England?

I absolutely adore his work, but I haven't found any websites with him or his pieces on it.

TIA,

Not even close to being funny. I wonder if you know who he is.

Mr. England is one of the top makers in the world. All of is work now-days is one of a kind.

Dr. Evil--

Well, Slap-head, I can't say that I wasn't really expecting that...but still, my pappy said, "Son, never take the easy ones..."

Thank God I ignored him, or I'd never have gotten married!!

Here's one for you--What's black and blue, and bobs upside down in the Irish Sea? An Englishman who won't lay off the Irish Jokes!

Gus and Jailhack,

Oh, I know he does the one-of-a-kinds, and I'd expect that they'd be--*ahem*--prohibitively expensive. That's why I'm looking for pics! It's probably the closest I'll ever get to one of his pieces...

Still, if I ever win the lottery, I'll be funneling a good bit of that loot towards a LOT of folks out there...my collection will read like a who's who of the knife world!

A sense of humor is a sign of good mental health. As a Doctor I advise you to go see a specialist about having that board removed from your ass, it will do wonders for your outlook. Just because Mr. England is one of the Top Makers In The World doesn’t mean he is a humorless prig or easily offended. That seems to be a condition that mostly effects people with titles anointed upon them.

Why do you never see four Irishmen out for a drink? Because whenever there are four Irishmen, there’s sure to be a fifth.

That's Doctor Evil to you. I didn't go to Evil Medical School for six years to be called Mister, thank you very much!

Okay, I can't stand it anymore.
Yes, I know who Virgil England is, BUT....

If you want to find England,
Go to Lisbon, turn left, follow the coastline to France. When you get to Calais take another left.

I'm sorry!
I'm SO sorry!
Well, okay, I'm not all THAT sorry, but it's just a joke and I didn't have the willpower to keep my yap shut.

I agree on the sense of humor. I guess your definition of "humor" is a little different than mine.

As far as the board up my ass, your sense of maturity differs from mine also.

As far as Virgil, he is one of the most humerous makers I have met.

Kalindras, at the risk of disrupting this interchange in order to address your original posting, have you seen the 19th edition of "Knives" (1999)? (This is the last issue edited by Ken Warner.) There are several great photos of England's clever knives, plus about four more pages of other makers' work in the same vein. Spacey stuff by Scott Richter, Daniel Stephan, Jerry Duran. I once met England years ago and he told me that he'd rather live in a ditch than make another drop-point hunter. Happily, he is doing neither.

Hi Bods, 2000 was the last Knives Annual book edited by Ken Warner, 2001 was the first by Joe Kertzman.
Virgil England's pieces are unbelievable and unbeleivably expensive. Worth it? I guess that's up to the buyer.
Dr. Evil, 27 posts, isn't it time to find a new trolling place? A doctor? yeah right.

Dave
