Looking for etchings machine. What do people use?

It's time to start ok putting my name on my knives. What are my options? I see different machines available from around 160 to 450. I'm ok with buy once cry once but what do I get for the extra price? It's a bad time of year to spend money but I don't want to buy a second one. Any advice is appreciated.
 
Personalizer plus is a standard go to machine that gives you variable power and does a good job. A good electrolyte and quality stencils is also very important.. when I started using IMG stencils the quality of my mark improved a lot
 
personalizer plus. yeah you can make your own for $75 but the personalizer has a nice hand piece, variable voltage, and a quality transformer inside.
 
+1 on the Personalizer. Wasted time trying to "save money" by doing DIY things. In the end, the kit was great. I get my stencils from a guy in Bedford, MA.
 
I have a personalizer plus also, got it years ,an years...... Well a very long time ago when they were a lot cheaper,. Well life happened an now I am back.i was just wondering where to get a stencil made instead of the paper stuff . Thanks. Wayne
