Handled one at the Blade show and it felt really good. Only reason I did not get one is I had someone whose opinion I respect say that the edge failed a flex test on a brass rod. He chalked it up to it being the heat treat and a new product and said to wait.

While I respect his opinion I find it hard to believe that a company with the reputation CRK has would put out a bad knife. So does anyone have one and how is it holding up? Most of my knives get used mainly on camping trips where the worst abuse might be batoning some wood for the fire.

Thanks.

Check out this site.

Raoul...
Wow, that's a seriously negative review for such an expensive knife. Though I don't know who did it and can't tell if they're being fair or not, but it just makes me wonder. I can't see CRK putting out a product with as many flaws as the reviewer says the knife has.

I have used the 7" version hard and had no problem. Lots of heavy chopping clearing a path. Normally I would have used an axe but I felt like testing the ability of this knife. It showed no signs of failure at all. I did manage to dull it but I would expect that after a hard days use. I think it is a very capable knife.
