looking for fellow knife nuts to hang out with in north carolina

hello wonderful bladeforums family, my name is Derek (22) and my wife and i just moved to charlotte area, north carolina. id like to meet some good people here who love knives and enjoy talking about them and using them. if anyone likes to browse collections or work on making them or just sit and whittle a stick down to nothing and compare edges, or needs any knives sharpened, id like to hear from you.

(i know the world is a dangerous place. just like a dating site, meeting people can be dangerous. however, on bladeforums, any registered user, especially paying member, would have a good enough track record and decency and genuine charachter to not be a threat to me or my family, and i am of a discerning nature and recognize those who are. were starting a new life and im kind of lonely.)
 
If I was in NC I would meet up with ya, meet and greets can be a lot of fun. I believe there is a sub forum for geographic regions, (ie. forums for each state or area). I may be thinking of another forum though
 
Id meet with ya too bro, im in the same boat here. Not sure if anyone around my area likes knives as much as i do, but if they are out there I would sure like to meet them!
 
It doesn't matter where you move to or from the amazing people on this forum are always here to talk. Each and every person has a history of collecting and using knives, so don't feel alone in NC as we are every where.
 
knives dont seem to be very popular out east. in montana, everyone and their dog was a custom knife maker so i was a newbie nobody in a sea of invisability. out here there are a lot of differences in culture and such that im trying to get the hang of. where im from there are no gangs, only caucasians, and its a lot colder. im hoping to make and sell at the shows out here and offer a sharpening service
 
hey there, im liking it so far. its pretty out here, much nicer than north dakota... everything is this odd visual sensation known as... green
