Looking for recommendations for a fixed blade for a Otterbox 1000 PSK. The internal length of the box is 3.7". I would like something just a bit shorter to compensate for box taper or paracord wrapped handle. Thanks in advance.

I've got a Ritter MK5 that would fit- I like it, my only complaint is the ss won't throw a very good spark

John (JK Knives) has a tin knife that would fit

BRKT's PSK would fit as well

BRKT PSK won't fit into a 1000, it is made for the 2000, which is a couple inches bigger. What do you want to be able to do with this knife?

I'll tell you what. I have a spare "freebie" tin knife Stomper used to send out with orders. I have one that measures out to 3 9/16" . Made from 1/8" thick O1.

If you think it will fit send me an email with a mailing address. I'll stuff it in an envelope and mail it to you.

It looks like this one.

Steel type is irrelevant. Try squaring up a section of the spine. A sharp corner is what's required.

it's pretty square, it definitely doesn't throw sparks like any of the carbon knives I own

I'll give it a try, but have read many times that ss is not as good as carbon for firesteels- thus far I have to agree

Get in touch with John at JK Kniives or Bryan Breeden, both make great knives that will fit your needs.

This is very generous of you, Todd. If jw doesn't want it, and you're just itching to give it away...:D

Seriously though jw, it depends on what you plan on using the knife for. Scales (or the lack thereof) and a little bit of length can make a big difference, depending on the role you plan for the knife. If it's just gonna be a little backup, a scale-less knife like the one Todd so generously offered would be great. If it's for a more primary role, I would look for something more comfortable in extended use.
