Looking for folding rescue knife

I want it to be inexpensive enough so if it gets lost or confiscated I won't sob into my pillow.

I want it to look like a rescue knife, you know, blunt and odd. Not slick and sharp and shiney like some sort of SWAT tactical blade you can eviserate someone with.

I want a folder that's as small as possible, with a carbide-tip glass-breaker if I can get it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Spyderco assist is available with a carbide glass breaker. I would also recommend the Spyderco Rescue or Rescue jr, but they dont have the glass breaker.

I SECOND the 'assist' !! :D Just exactely what you are hunting for!!!

They can be attained at a very reasonable rate as well... Good Hunting ;)

Abundant Blessings,
AFE~

I was gonna say the Rescue Stryker from BM, but since they're kinda out of production and they don't have the carbide tip, I'd say the Assist as well. I *think* there's a lip to start o2 on there as well. .

Along with a Spyderco Assist or Rescue folder, you might also want to take a look at a Benchmade model 5 Rescue Hook.

Colt/United Cutlery makes a very good Fire/Police Rescue folder. They have a seat belt cutter and carbide window breaker on them. You can get them w/blunt, tanto or drop point blades. Check www.eknifeworks.com or smokeymountainknife works...

I am a police sergeant and i carry one on duty all the time. Used it many times...

Spyderco is an awesome choice, i carry one myself at work. But if you want something that will do the same job at a price that mekes it almot disposable check out the smith&wesson knives with a window punch. I have one in my turnout pocket and dont feel the least guilt about prying with it, or getting blood all over it, because i bought it for $20.

I've never used it but only heard good thinhgs of the 'Spyderco Assist' though maybe it's not cheap enough? I know i'd sob if I lost my delica, though maybe not as much as if I lost a SOG.

The Assist isn't a really expensive knife, but prices in Europe might be a bit higher.
