Looking for G Bears

Every spring around this time of year I head out and up into the mountains looking for grizzly bears.I travel out to
that placeand use an old logging/ mining road to access the area where they frequent in the spring.
Today I rounded up some food, binos, camrea, spotting scope, water and threw it in my rigging sack ,out the door I went
This year is a different spring in the mountains compared to others.
There is still quite alot of snow yet where it is bare things are greening up really fast.
Avalanche slopes green up with vegetation midslope as all the snow is usuaully swept off slope earlier in the winter.Very important habitat for all types of wildlife year round.I walked in around 3 miles from parking the truck.Wading through snow when I had to

Didnt see a G Bear today but managed to see a Black Bear sow with 2 last years cubs.Looks as if they spent an easy winter as they were in fine shape.Too far for pictures
I had a very nice afternoon and left for ther walk out at dark

Are you just hoping to see them? Are you scouting them to learn where to go to hunt them? What do you bring as protection?
