I'm looking to interview some knifemakers who use a TAP, Icon, RampMaster or any other type of kiln controller on their kiln for heat treating. I'm currently taking a User Centered Design course at UAH. I have an assignment where I need to interview several users on one type of technology and I think the kiln controller could be an interesting one to research.
If you use a TAP controller and would be willing to be interviewed, please let me know via Direct Message. Here are the details:
- This is NOT for any commercial or marketing purposes.
- We can talk through phone/Messenger/WharsApp or any way that is convenient to you. Please DO NOT post your contact info here.
- It should take about ten minutes.
- I'll ask questions about who your are, your experience with knifemaking, heat treating, and using the TAP controller. Nothing too personal.
- I need to record the interview, but the conversation won't be posted anywhere public. I'll use it to extrapolate information.
If you would like to participate, you can either:
1. Direct message me on BladeForums. Stacy told me that it might not be possible for basic memberships.
2. Email me at: researchux15@gmail.com. We'll coordinate from there.
Thanks.
