A couple of months ago I bought a surface grinder on ebay. I have not been able to get it delivered to my home. I would like to know if anyone knows a moving company, or someone themself woho would be willing to move it for me. I'll pay cash$$$$. It is located in bridgeport Ct and has to move to Rutland Ma.
Thanks,
Chuck

Look in the phone book under movers, equipment. They specialize in moving mills, lathes, etc. If you have a college around you, get one of those free papers, where everyone lists services, and items for sale. Try to find one of those starving students outfits, that will go get it for you. Good luck.

You might want to make sure they are bonded and insured. It's a horrible vision seeing that surface grinder scattered all over the interstate.

Chuck, you might try this site http://www.freightquote.com/

You will need to arrange for loading and unloading. Most dealers will load the machine as part of the sale. For unloading you can get a truck with a lift gate which at least gets it on the ground at your place. Unless you happen to have a forklift. :p

As Kit indicated insurance is a must. If it tips in transit you don't want to be stuck with the repair bill.

Good Luck!
