I am currently very interested in finding a small thin neck knife. Kind of like CS Spike, you know the type. I saw one for $150 at someone's custom sight, and while I will pay that if I have to, I'd rather not. So what I'm looking for should be around $50-$100. Thanks for any info. Or email me if you're interested in making me one. blade lenghth must be 3" min.

Email me and we will discuss it

I have some D2, O-1 and 1084, and will be ordering mroe materials soon!!!

Have you considered getting a Newt Livesay "zipper" or a custom verion?

Maby the MOD razorback, if you thinned out the handle a little bit, and used a different sheath.

It's not really a knife but Pat Crawford has something similar called the Devil Dart:

I have this one ready to go. 6" OAL, blade is just under 3". ATS-34 Rc60, tapered tang, satin finish. Handle is Linen Micarta with Micarta pins, only 1/4" think. Super light weight. Asking $125

Al Polkowski has a number of prime neck knives: amigo, gaunt, wasp, hang tight, hang tight junior, bandit and nomad neck. It's my opinion that he is the maker that made neck knives popular over these past few years.

Why not contact Barry Dawson, whose Spike inspired the CS model? He could undoubtedly build you a neat custom version. Although I don't want to speak for him, I believe I recall seeing his handmade Spikes available at knife shows for under $100.

Do NOT get a Livesay Zipper unless you have a friend who can put an edge on it for you--mine had none.

Also, the Zipper is a little hard to hold onto because it's so thin, but it is light & comfortable.

Yes, RJ Martins Combat Neck Knife. It is a solid round one piece design of blackened A2 steel with a single edge and is held in an aluminum arrow shaft suspended by paracord. Comes in either black or earthtone camo pattern. The handles cordwrap aids for a good grip. It is most definitely made for a thrust and get out situation as its blades triangular cross section results in a very steep edge angle. Its OAL of approximately 8" is a tad on the long length side. But overall this piece wears works quite well.
