Looking for ideas on a sheath for this Primble Hickory knife.

I am still working on cleaning up the blade on this one. The side showing is the worst. I picked it up several years ago and sort of forgot about it. It was rusty when I got it unfortunately.

Try something like this:

This is for a Green River Skinner but the idea is the same. You would need to adapt your pattern to the shape of the blade. This knife fits into the sheath with about 2" of handle sticking out. Its kinda my interpretation of an old mountain man/Indian style sheath where the belt comes up and out of the slot and over the body of the sheath. This would be worn on the left hip.

I agree with Dave , you have to go simple " Old School " with a knife like that .
I made this sheath about 25 years ago and it's done more miles than a Greyhound Bus .
A simple " Trade " type sheath that is fitting for the era is what that knife deserves .
Cool knife

I see one place where it attaches to a belt. Is that the only one?

Yeah. Imagine the sheath with the knife in it over on your left side. The belt comes in from the bottom of the slot and out the top and over the body of the sheath and onto the next belt loop on your jeans. Its a very old style and was common with that old style knife. Here's a pic, not this sheath but it gives you the idea of how it works.
