Hi,
The long story is this, I'm looking for a knife for my sister who has RA (rheumatoid arthritis). She really likes using my Gill Hibben 2018 small pro Alaskan guide knife because of the handle shape and great ergo of that knife. However, since the GH2018 is no longer in production, and since it is somewhat of a collectors item, I'm looking for a knife with similar ergonomics for a gift. She will use this knife mostly in the kitchen as an all purpose utility knife.
Must haves:
Must have a similar ergonomics and overall design as the GH2018
Must have a good grip to lock in securely
Must have an effective finger guard - I'm not looking for Mora style knives
Must be full tang
Must have blade length no longer than 4 1/2 inches
Must be inexpensive - I'm thinking no more than $40.00 -- I need to ad that my sister is not a knife person so blade steel is not as important as ergonomics
Two knives that I'm looking at are the Schrade 183UH Elk Hunter and the Boker Magnum Elk hunter.
Any suggestions will be helpful
Thanks
