Thread title says it all, for the most part. One of the scales is etched to look like a pile of antlers. The blade doesn't have a model number on it, but it does have the Buck USA logo with the Idaho stamp. Model number is likely 276 or 278 because the blade has a gut hook. The most interesting thing about it is the two deer track cutouts in the blade. It is numbered - only 500 made.

I'll post a picture as soon as I figure out how to do that here. Thanks for your time.

Hello and welcome to the Buck forum. Are you looking for information or for the knife?
If you are looking to acquire one, you can't do that here. This is a discussion forum.
If looking for information you've come to the right place.
You've already described the knife in detail so you know pretty much already.
The model is 278 and called "Stacked Antlers". They were produced for Smoky Mountain Knife Works.
I'd have to check but I think the handles may have been Ivory Plastic, not Micarta.
There are other similar knives, one with "Tracks" and another with an etched deer head. Possibly others.
What else can we help you with?

Just looking for info.

That is so awesome! Thank you soo much. I'm familiar with SMKW, mostly due to their recent spyderco exclusive.

Thanks again!

That's it! The only difference is that mine doesn't have the model number on the blade, and I can't tell for sure if yours is numbered or not.

If an Idaho stamped version of what I have exists sans-gut hook, then I'm gonna call that my grail. I like the tracks on the scales in the one example you just shared. I've seen pics of some of those ones in my search for info on mine. Beautiful knives. 😍
