Looking for info on Bethel Handle Co

Got an unidentified axe with a Bethel Handle Co haft, which seems to be the original so I'm trying to figure out which manufacturers used them. Axe head is an interesting 3 1/4 pound Dayton style head but all i can see as far as a manufacturer is a W near the poll but the rest is ground off, and a number 53 stamped on the base of poll. Anyway if anyone knows where I might find info on the Bethel Handle Co or has info on it then any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jody

Hey there, I know it's been over ten years since you posted this. I grew up near Bethel and would be interested in purchasing that axe, or just the handle from you if you still have it and would be willing to sell.
