Good morning folks. I have a three line Buck 116 that I am thinking about selling but from what I can find prices are all over the place. I have found sales as low as $65 and asking prices as high as $400 plus. I know that they are not made any more and therefore desirable.
Mine is in great condition with the fold over sheath and I got it in a trade bundle .Just curious what the general consensus is on value. Thanks for your input.

I posted a photo of one of my 116s in the Buck Fixed Blade Friday with the comment of it being rarely mentioned or commented about. It's a specialized knife, caping, which I think makes the value somewhat hard to determine. So all over the place is what you get for price.
Mine doesn't get much use...I last used it to breast dove, never have used it as a caping knife.
As with any thing for sale, condition, features like date, appointments and how bad someone wants it affect the price.

I only have one and haven’t caped a hide with this Buck 116 either (my taxidermist strongly advised me once upon a time to let him do the caping, that I was making a mess!) In Buck’s defense I didn’t use a 116 to cape that hide (used my 105 Pathfinder). OH

Thanks for the advice. You guys have given me an idea of how to price it. Now comes the hard part trying to decide whether or not to sell it. Lol

Dug up this old post, anyone inclined to sell a mint 116 at good deal, feel free to contact me. thanks
