Greetings, everybody. I am trying to find information on a fixed blade Imperial knife that was in my grandfather’s tackle box. My grandfather passed in 1972. Several years ago I received his tackle box, and this knife was in it. It is approx 7" tip to butt, black plastic handle, no guard, and no serrations on the back of the blade. I’ve found tang stamp information for Imperial knives online, but not for this knife, which is stamped with the word “Imperial” in cursive and nothing more. I would love to know more about this knife. Any information would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU!

Sometimes people know; sometimes not; but pictures would help.

Welcome to Bladeforums, Tugpuppy from Springfield.
Sorry to say, but no one's going to be able to tell you much about your grandfather's knife without some pictures. Try to take good quality in-focus pictures of the overall knife, and a closeup of the tang stamp. Then post your pictures in the Schrade Collectors forum area; if those guys don't know, no one will. ;)

Wish I could have one of those Springfield Pony sandwiches today. :)
