Looks pretty straightforward to me.

How so? The handle bits look completely flat, like the were meant to attach to something rather than be held in the hand.

I see a palm rest, finger hole, front horn for second hand or to choke up with, a nice heel, belly and tip.
I would need to have it in hand to be sure, but looks plenty useable to me.

The palm rest looks wide and flat, not usable. At least not comfortably. It's like it needs to be rotated 90 degrees on its axis

Oh yeah it kind of does.

I think it's titled skate, so maybe an ice skate blade?

Just like any other knife, but better in a lot of ways, because the blade edge is below the knuckles when cutting and such....hope this helps....Merry Christmas!
