I've had it quite a while, but don't know much about it.

The blade is marked "CMK" on the side with the detente. The other side has three lines of text

BUCK
112 ∩
U.S.A

What can you tell from this information?

Just that the base 110 used for it was made in 1997 from that date code next to the "110".

Can you post a composite pic??? I think I know who made it, but the inscription throws me...Is the detent a small [1/8"] hole, or a larger chunk out of the edge of the choil???

...hmmm...I'm thinking it may have been converted by Cumberland Mountain Knife and Tool...They were one of a very few who did an excellent job on their conversions. I've seen them use the CMK logo as well as CMK&T on some knives...Gotta see some pics...

That's who I thought, too...Wasn't their conversion single-action only???

I checked BB and TKA but none listed right now...I've never seen one with a logo on the blade...

...Actually the logo's that I have seen were not on Bucks either. I've never seen any mark, be it an etch or stamp mark. on the blades of their Buck conversions, except for the Buck logo...CMKT and Paragon both steered away from calling attention to their names when it came to conversions. They did great work but never seemed to advertise it...I have seen single and double action conversions by both companies ( I think ) but far more single actions...Wish I had either one too...The quality of their conversions and the shape and location of the button holes were distinct when compared to cheaper conversions.

The detente is a small hole, with red paint in it:) Looks as if it were made by a drill that did not go through. Wow, you folks are a font of information!

Frank Beltrame...I have several of his knives...he and his brother (they don't speak to one another) both make quality Italian stilettos...:thumbup:

...And it's a left-handed auto...
It looks really old, too...First one I've seen with a squared off button end...and extra rivets... ;)

i concurs with my esteemed opposition on this one ...
Left Handed ! and sq button are odd
and the extra rivets seem a good idea to me ..

I've had it for a while. I can fire it fine with my index finger, never occurred to me it was a left handed auto:)

CMK did a quality conversion. I need to get out some brasso and clean up the ends, I guess, though I sort of like the patina.
