looking for info on old timer knives

I would suggest you post this question in the Schrade collectors forum (a sub forum in "collector's forums"). I have no idea, but I do know that I have been buying Schrade USA knives off and on now for a couple years as a priority. I just bought a 250T which of course is a very large folder.

Added: I assume you are talking about older knives (USA) versus current production. With current production, you should be able to go to any or several of the online dealers and look at their selection of chinese made Schrade knives or give one of them a call.

What is the smallest Old Timer knife made?

I'm no expert, but the smallest I know of is the 2 3/4" (closed) serpentine frame -- they did a single-blade pen (18OT), a two-blade pen (104OT), and a small stockman (108OT) on that frame. There's also a dogleg frame that's just a smidgen longer (12OT.)

The 30T is about 2.75" closed (about a 2" blade). It's a single blade lockback and the smallest one I own. It ran about $15 years ago.

Thanks guys the 2 3/4 sounds like mine I got it when I was like 6 or 7 can't remember how many blades though. Was wondering if it was rare or one of a kind.

Not likely. You might try to be more specific.... "can't remember how many blades" as that could mean a lot of different knives potentially.

Yeah, the only things I can think of are:
1) The little 1-blade penknife (18OT) had a little brass liner-lock/safety-bar you had to depress in order to close it, which might confirm or eliminate that possibility, and
2) The main blade on the 12OT peanut/dogleg had a long straight pull instead of the crescent-shaped nail nick the others use.

If I had to guess, I'd say it had three blades. I'm not home but when I get there I will find it. My 86 yr grandfather gave it to me and he said he got it when he was a kid.

I found it. Pretty cool huh my first knife
