Bought at a flea market. tried looking it up but the numbers on the blade shows only old timers and none of the lnives are even close to what this knife look like. Usa made. have pics just dont know how to post... markings on knife are SCHRADE USA 108OT.... Shield on knife says uncle henry

To post pics you have to use photobucket, I would also reccomend for further knife identification questions you take it to the Bernard Levine's Knife Collecting & Identification forum

It sounds like something they put together from parts on hand during the final weeks before they closed the doors for good. 108 OT is a small three blade stockman that should be an Old Timer. The Uncle Henry brand carried UH designators, although many models were the same as the Old Timer counterparts, to the point that the blades were interchangeable.

Schrade knives had a long-standing tradition of occasionally mixing parts from their Old Timer, Uncle Henry, and Schrade lines. Furthermore, seemingly thousands of mis-matched knives were assembled in the last days of the Schrade factory (2004). Not only were blades swapped, but all sorts of oddities went out the door. Yours could be one of those "end-of-days" knives (as they're referred to by collectors), or it could have been assembled that way decades ago.

So basically you have Uncle Henry knife handles and an Old Timer blade. Uncle Henry knives were stainless, and the 108OT blade is likely carbon steel as most Old Timers were. Use it in good health, or save it as a interesting collectible.

Uncle Henry with possible carbon steel blade... not a bad thing. Any chance the blade has a long pull? They are older ones for an 108OT.

in looking at the 2004 price list there is a 1080 OT and its counter part for Uncle Henry is the 807 UH. list price for the Old Timer was $31.45 and $36.45 retail.
