Looking for some info on this model 1203 (or "1203.9" as it's listed on the box tag).
I picked up this, and a couple other older knives, at an estate auction recently.

This one is still new in the box.

Any idea when this was made/sold? Any other info would be great.

I found this pdf, giving dates of manuf. and final price it was sold at.

This model 1203 was sold from "mid 60's to 1978, and sold for $9.50 in 1978.

Here is the pdf: http://www.kabar.com/content/files/Historical_Knife_Pricing.pdf

Still would like to know more info if anyone has any.

Thank you

HM

That's all the information I have on these as well. I'm guessing on this, but I have always considered that the green boxes with the gold what-ever-they-ares are from the 60s. The whole group of low 1200 series knives (1200 through 1209) are well made. I have several that are users and I'm happy with all of them. Well, NOT the 1204 "patch knife". I have a couple and I prefer any of the others over the 1204. It's a knife looking for a use, as there never were any "real" patch knives. The original black powder guys used what ever knife they had.
