Ok so way back when I was a teen I had a knife that looked like the Puma White hunter. Now it looked like it but had no back bevel It had the large bulbous front like the Puma even had a design on the bulbous part both sides. I am inquiring as a while back someone from the past asked me if I still had it as I carried/used it hiking and hunting all the time and now it bothers me as I cannot place the name.... For the record someone stole it out of my truck. How long ago may add a clue we are talking 40 years ago or more.. More of what I remember blade was around 7-8 inches overall maybe 10-12 it was a thick blade it was not a custom or one off either. So the question do anybody know anything or have thoughts?

Do you know if it was a puma brand? Any recollection of markings

There were several knives that looked like white hunters. I have a Pakistan made Bowie from the early 90s that I beat the crap out of and it’s still ticking. Looks sort of the same.

German Air Force bund knife is somewhat similar

Eye brand made a “guide knife” that was close. https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/catalog/image/archives/catalog/1488381557_51_80_1.jpg

Somebody else made a “white horse” that was close.

That’s all I’ve got. Good luck! Somebody more knowledgeable will be by shortly

I do not believe it was a Puma the makings I want to say like the belly smaller though of the blade and possible scroll work been a long time early to mid 80's and I bought it at a pawn shop so no idea of the age

Several companies made clones of the Puma White Hunter. Valor (Japan) made one called "Safari Hunter", Japan Sword made a copy, and Explorer (Germany) made one called "Alpine Hunter". I believe several other companies also made clones. John
