I have a western w75 boot knife that I am trying to find information about this knife. It was given to me by a very dear friend who is dying of cancer. This knife may not be worth much, but it’s priceless to me, and I am very honored to have it. Thank you for your time.

This thread brought back old memories. I remember I was considering that W75 for a long time but eventually ended up buying a Gerber Guardian.

why am i regretting that i did the same ?
when the clever choice should have been
obvious.
its a shame that some latter year
camillus factory products
(the period just prior to the end),
had bad grinds.
evidently western's suffered from
poor qc too...
as a matter of interest, this bootknife design
ended up being made it to china under the
colt knives lable ....
rough rider too .

Have a W75 and W77 with rosewood scales...both have an F stamp which I believe means they are from 1982.

These are great knives. Stuff from shuttered USA makers is becoming VERY collectible. Boot stuff remains VERY collectible. I'm sorry to hear about your friend.
