Looking for information on Celtic Knife

Has anyone out there ever heard of a type of Celtic Knife called a scua, and specifically do you know what they look like. Can't find them anywhere on the net and have only seen reference to them once before. I think they may have been a sacrificial/ceremonial knife.

Just to get the obvious question out of the way, you don't mean sgian do you? As in sgian dubh, the Scottish "black knife"? If not, I'm not sure. I think scua in gaelic refers to shadow which might indicate a sacrificial blade of some sort.

Donovan, thanks for the reply, no I don't mean sgian dubh(sp) from what I understand the scua was a lot larger and heavier. I think it may have an ovately shaped blade similar to that found on modern smatchetts, but not real sure.
