Looking for information on this stamp

Hello all,

I am new the forums and was hoping someone had the answer to my question!

I picked up this hatchet a week or so ago, but am having trouble finding information regarding the stamp on it. It seems like it looks like a bird perched on top of an "R". A few users on r/axecraft (Reddit) thought it may be a Black Raven, but I couldn't find a similar stamp. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The stamp doesn't ring any bells for me.
 
It's hard to read but something along the lines of XXX Fowler Co, St. John, NB?

On that first one, that is.
 
Your bird on an "R" might be sitting on an axe head. Looks similar to this Helko-Werk mark:



Your bird has more detail, might be that it's older?
