Looking for Knife Blades

I have been looking for knife blades to finish and a custom blade grinder since the death of Bob Engnath (Blades 'n' Stuff).

But, trying to fill the void that he left has been more difficult than I had expected.

Does anybody know a knifemaker that sells unfinished blades?

I would appreciate any information that you can provide.

JP I grind custom blades and heat-treat, including cryogenic treatment and rockwell test for final hardness. Also make damascus and forge to shape blades. Im not cheap, I have to make a living at this. No maker can compete with the catalogs because of the quantity they produce. I work with your designs and choice of the popular steels. Email me if interested. Bruce D Bump

J.P.,
I have been playing around with the idea of making some blades to sell. Most of them will be 6in or under, since my heat treating oven is kinda small. Anything bigger I can grind, but would have to be sent out to heat treat, or I can send them to you in the annealed state so you could do filework on them and send them out yourself. If you have any ideas, or would like to see what I have right now just let me know, I can email digital pics. The blades would come ground and heat treated, that's it! Still covered with the scale from heat treat. I know Bob Engath's pieces were much better quality than the average catalog pieces. Prices I would charge I guess would range from $40 and up depending on what you wanted. Let me know.
